Your Donations for the Unity in the Valley Mini-Conference

The GA and Gam-Anon fellowships each offer its members guidance toward serenity, gratitude and recovery, one day at a time, while encouraging us to stop and smell the roses. Once a year, Intergroup’s Mini-Conference Committee brings together volunteers from each fellowship to plan, organize, and facilitate the Unity in the Valley Mini-Conference.

Original workshops, presented by members of both fellowships, offer new ideas and fresh perspectives. In between, we gather together for a delicious breakfast and lunch, giving us opportunities to share our experiences. We end the day enjoying dessert and hearing the message of a vibrant guest speaker. The conference is a rewarding experience for all who attend, including guests. You won’t want to miss it!

Conference donations are distributed between GA and Gam-Anon and support the year-long work of their respective Intergroups. Some monies support the GA Phoenix website, telephone line, and 24/7/365 answering service; others fund the vital work of Intergroup committees (Pressure Relief, Sponsorship, Social Activities, and Mini-Conferences) and the Trustees who represent our area on the level of GA and Gam-Anon as a whole, nationally and internationally.

Each fellowship depends on donations from all of its groups, and the Mini-Conference is the most significant fundraiser of the year. Each meeting is part of its fellowship’s group unity program. When some groups contribute while others do not, it affects other groups and our fellowship as a whole. When self-governance impacts the fulfillment of our primary purpose, and the weight of carrying the message to those who still suffer falls on fewer groups, we suffer an imbalance of Unity Steps 4 and 5.

Whether you attend an in-person, telephone or Zoom meeting, please contribute, either individually or through your group.
